A little updating

Lately I feel like I have soo much to do that I don't have time to do anything....well....effectively. I get too overwhelmed trying to do so much that I fail at it miserably. Yesterday I made a bunch for to-do lists and put a star next to the things that were very important, then I noticed I had a star on everything but two of them, so then I had to go back through and make some of the stars bigger, for the very most important to get done. Man, I can't wait till Christmas break :) I need to learn how to balance my hectic life and uitlize my time better. I just saw this quote and really opened my eyes to stop complaining that I don't have time, but that I just suck at figuring out how to use it.

Besides taking pictures for my photography class,
Designing pictures for my branding and typography class, I'm enjoying my time down here in Cedar. For Halloween I went to the HOWL down here at SUU. My friend Rachel came down for the weekend and we had an awesome time hanging out with the old Snow College roommate crew.
OH YEAH! And for homecoming weekend, my awesome friend/old roommate Dru came down to party also. Dru is pretty much amazing at biology and chemistry and I went with her to go visit her good friend and old teacher and he did some experiments with us. First we dipped a balloon in liquid nitrogen and it was awesome! Then we froze a raquetball and watched it shatter on the ground, and then we did this with it.....cool smokey stuff...I wanted some homemade rootbeer after this. The best part was right after this, we were doing an awesome experiment with fire. And it made the smoke detector go off and evacuated the WHOLE scitence building!!!! hahaha I couldn't stop laughing, it was a great day. Goodbye long nails!!

Okay, so i'm not loosing my nails....but the lady who won Guinness Book of World Records lost hers in a car accident!! Why am I posting this? Because one fine day when I was cashiering at Nordstrom, I had to help her. Let me just tell you, trying to have her sign the receipt and giving her her bag was a very eventful experience. I actually touched these nails, not by choice, I was actually really grossed out. But hey, I met someone famous that day. Hears to the lady with the long nails!!!!

Broken Thumbs

There's a bad bad case of broken thumbs going around. Watch out guys, soon it'll get you too if you're not careful. Lately, people have been bad texter backers, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and think that maybe they're suffering from broken thumbs. Either way, drives me nuts! haha

Fourth of July

This Fourth of July weekend I went to Eaglewood fireworks the night before, but unfortunately didn't have my memory card so I don't have any pictures. It was really fun though! The next morning we woke up early and I went to the parade with some of my family, after that we went back to my sisters, had a bbq and watched the kids play in the pool. This is my new favorite picture- about 5 old guys rode around on these 'magic carpet' go cart things and were dressed up like Aladdin. I was laughing my head off and happened to catch this shot of this grandpa as he went zooming by. I hope I'm that cool when I get old :)

The night of the fourth only me, Sarah & Doxey were the only ones ready to party up at Davis fireworks. It ended up being really fun and we got some Dee's after. Happy Fourth of July!

Things I've been up to SLASH I've thought about lately:

-I moved home for the summer. booo.......just because I'm bored.

-My Mom is getting funnier with Age, or maybe I just didn't find her as funny when I was a teenager.

-Lately I've really been into family history. I like knowing where my roots are from. I've been looking at old pictures and seeing who I'm related to, it's very interesting! I'll have to post some on here. I even found out that one of my Friends Jessica and her cousin that I met at Snow are related! I figured out that were're fourth cousins once removed- we have the same great, great, great grandmpa and grandpa. I mean it's distant but we're still cousins! :)

-I'm dreading my birthday-I don't want to get any older.

-Hearing the comment that I'm just like the girl fron 27 dresses is getting old! I know I've been in a lot of weddings lately, and that I plan bridal showers in my spare time, but that means I'm just a good friend right?? Plus they're the crazy ones for entering in to the last legal form of slavery! Just playin.

-My new recent CD is Matt Nathanson- LOVE him, check him out if you haven't already.

-I've been to soo many movies this summer it's sorta ridiculous. I feel like a movie buff- you wanna know my favorite so far? The Proposal. Laughed-My-Face-Off. I was crying I was laughing so hard! Not to mention almost spit out my drink once- belive me you'll love it.

-I've become better friends with others, and less friends with others. It's such a strange summer...2 months down- what new quirk will pop up next?

-Worst movie I've seen this summer? Year One- I was so excited to see it, but unfortunately it was the lamest comedy EVER! I even fell asleep for 10 min. I thought they were going to stay in caveman stage but they turned it all biblical- weird!

-I think I hate it when people won't listen when I'm trying to talk more than anything. I try to talk and they cut me off mid-sentence, try to answer my question, and then i have to repeat myself because they wouldn't listen the first time. Or they just cut me off all together, yup i really, really hate that.
Oh yeah! Can we hang out? Thanks, I'm bored...........

Blonde Moment For the Week....

So this morning I looked at my clock when I woke up and I was thought, crap! I had to leave in 20 min, so I was running around trying to hurry and got in the shower and ran out the door. I went to go pick up my friend Taylor because we carpool to work. I pull up to her house and start honking- no one comes out, then I text her, doesn’t write back, so I honk again….and then I looked at the clock and it was 6:40.....I don't have to be to work till 8:00. I was an hour off!

So I went home and took a quick nap before I had to leave again haha. My first clue should have been when I didn’t need to wear my sunglasses when I first got in the car!

You gotta love these kind of mornings........
